We returned to the park on Jun 19, 2025, with a straightforward goal: summit Wheeler Peak. The hike itself was a breeze, but Mother Nature had other plans – we battled ridiculously strong winds that could've knocked us off our feet. We pushed through, and luckily the gusts died down as we neared the peak, making it worth the grind.
Sunset near top of Wheeler Peak | It took us a couple hours to hike down in dark.
Bristlecone Pine | The photo was take at Bristlecone Pine Grove on the glacier trail. It was a light painting photo taken at about 3:30am in the morning.
Early morning at Glacier Trail | Even the Wheeler Peak is facing the east, it won't receive the sun light until 15 minutes after sunrise. I wish there were clouds to reflect the light.
